Hitchhiking out
South towards Moscow via M8
- You can reach the Sergiyev Posad junction from the "Geologorazvedka" bus stop. Buses passing through include: No. 33 (Sergiyev Posad Station — Vozdvizhenskoye — Rakhmanovo), No. 22 (Sergiyev Posad Station — Zubtsovo) and No. 388 (Sergiyev Posad Station — Moscow (VDNKh Metro); this stop is on request).
North-east towards Pereslavl-Zalessky, Rostov and Yaroslavl via M8
- DPS post before Bereznyakovskaya junction with A-108. The "DRSU No.16" stop on A-108 (from the Bereznyaki side) is serviced by buses No. 28, 120 and minibuses No. 81, 121.
- The "SNT Zagorye" stop is along the M8 in Sergiyevo-Posad district, further out. You can reach it via minibus No. 70 from the bus station. Ask the driver to stop at the turn-off to SNT from the road.
West towards Dmitrov via A108
a) "Mankovsky Turn (Junction)": Buses 20, 21, 58, 63 and minibus 77. b) "Mankovo" stop: Buses 20, 21, 24, 35, 39, 40, 41, 42, 48, 49, 53, 58, 63, 122 and minibuses 42, 48, 49, 61, 77.
- The train from Alexandrov stops at the "40 km" platform on the edge of Sergiev Posad. The "Deulinsky crossing" bus stop is nearby, around 300 meters from the terminal stop of many minibuses at the "Merkuriy" shopping complex.
North towards Cherepovets via R104
- The "Iudino" stop by the industrial settlement "Remmash." Served by buses 24, 35, 39, 40, 41, 42, 48, 49, 53, 60, 122 and minibuses 42, 48, 49, 61.

- You can camp with your own tent on the banks of the Uchinskoe Reservoir.
- For male pilgrims, there is a free hostel – the Strannopriimny house (Pozharny Lane, 2, tel: (496) 540-56-81), but it may not have space for everyone. A passport is required to register at any hostel.
