Hitch-hiking clubs bring hitchhikers together, organize various competitions, meetings, etc. They are especially popular in countries of former Soviet Union.

• DTSG - Deutsche Trampsport Gemeinschaft - German competitive autostop club.
• Tramprennen - an annual hitchhiking race organized by the Club of Roam-Autostop! e.V. since 2008.
• Expedition Tomorrow - Adventure club that is organizing the annual Backseat Rally.

• Vilnius Hitch-hiking Club is over 15 years old and used to be one of the leading hitchhiking organizations in Europe. In 90's and early 2000s they often organized the International Hitch-hiking Conference. Facebook page
