I am from Cyprus. I have been lucky enough to do a bit of traveling around Europe and other continents. I have tried Germany's Mitfahrzentrale and the traditional road-side hitchhiking a few times. Longest journeys have been France-Turkey or Germany/Switzerland to Southern France.
