Hi! I’m Arphile, a French hitchhiker currently trying to cross Eurasia from France to Indonesia by (mostly) hitchhiking. I first hitchhiked in august 2024 when I had to to get to and from the Ala-Archa national park in Kyrgyzstan, and I’ve been hitchhiking pretty much non stop since late July 2025 and have already accumulated a good amount of rides and kilometres on the road. I’ve met some great people, heard so many stories and for the first time felt like I was actually able to meet locals during my trip, and I don’t know if I’ll go back to more traditional ways of travelling any time soon.

At the moment I’m particularly interested in editing the Slovakia article (https://hitchwiki.org/en/Slovakia), I’ve spent three weeks hitchhiking around the country and I think there’s a lot of valuable experience I could provide. Also, I’d like to add a section about district codes, as virtually all significant towns in Slovakia have some and it’s extremely valuable to indicate where you are going.
