Tobolsk (Russian: Тобольск) is a city located in the center of the region Russia - Tyumen Oblast. It is the first capital of Siberia, situated at the confluence of the Tobol and Irtysh rivers.

Hitchhiking out

North towards Khanty-Mansiysk via R404

• "Pionernaya baza" public transport stop. Bus routes No. 10, 25, 4. This stop is just before the train station. From the stop, walk forward past the roundabout.

South towards Tyumen via R404

• Police checkpoint (DPS) before the bridge over the Irtysh. City buses do not go here. You need to hitchhike from the interchange on Dziraev Avenue. The nearest public transport stop is "GC Rubin," route No. 22. Walk forward and use the petal of the interchange to turn towards the boiler room. If you are at the train station, you can start hitchhiking from there, the ring road starts not far from it.
