Taraz is a city in southern Kazakhstan. There is a bypass road around the city.

East towards Almaty, Karaganda and Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan) (M39)
There is a new bus station in the eastern part of the city which is the last stop for many bus routes. Walk a bit further east from the bus station and start hitching along the empty field.
