- From Saint Petersburg – take the A121 (Sortavala highway).
- From Saint Petersburg – take the R21 (former M18) to Pryazha, then continue on the A121 (Sortavala); this route may make sense while the Sortavala highway is not fully built, as it has gravel sections and passes through towns.
- From Petrozavodsk – take the R21 (former M18) to Pryazha, then continue on the A121 (Sortavala).
