Official hitchhiking spots are set up by:
- Rezo Pouce in France
- As hitchhiking benches in Germany
- there is the application Comby for Potsdam-Mittelmark
- Liftershalte in the Netherlands
The groud truth for official hitchhiking spots is provided by OpenStreetMap where such spots are tagged using highway=hitchhiking. It is very much encouraged to update them once a hitchhiker uses or passes by such a special spot.
You can find a list of all official hitchhiking spots on OpenStreetMap.
