Juliaca is a city in Peru, a few hours north from Puno. There's nothing much to see and the city is messy.
Hitchhiking out
North towards Cusco
There are a bunch of combis that take you to the northern-most side of the city. The combis say "salida Cusco" on their signs so it'll be easy to find. Other way is walking out 5kms from the center. There are a few gas stations (grifos) at the end of the city where you can just show your thumb and get a ride easily. ALWAYS tell the driver you have no money or else they will ask for some.
