Hitchhiking out

West towards Erzurum, Kars, Ankara

To go towards Tuzluca, Kağızman, Karakurt, Horasan, Erzurum, Ankara, Kars, or Ardahan, you need to get onto the Kars Road. You can either walk about 1.5-2 km from the city center, or take a minibus heading towards the bus terminal (Otogar) or Topçular Neighborhood, and start hitchhiking from any point on the Kars Road.

To Kars, the main route usually departs via Tuzluca and then goes via Digor, but since the Digor route has very low traffic, if you find a direct vehicle, it is recommended to go via Karakurt as an alternative.

East towards Dilucu, Nakhchivan

If you are heading towards Karakoyunlu, Aralık, Dilucu Border Gate, or Nakhchivan, you can take minibuses to Melekli and start hitchhiking from the entrance of Melekli.

South towards Doğubayazıt, Ağrı, Van

If you are heading towards Doğubayazıt, Ağrı, Erciş, or Van, you need to get onto the Doğubayazıt Road. You can use the minibuses going towards Konaklı and TOKİ, and after a short walk, start hitchhiking.
