Dohuk is a city in northern Iraq, close to the Turkish border.
Hitching out
North towards Turkey, South towards Mossul
From the city center, just follow the signs to Zakho. After 15 minutes, you will reach the main road leaving the city. Hitch a ride here, out of the city. The main road from Zakho to Mossul is about 7 km outside the city. Once you are there, it's easy to get lifts in any direction.
