Hitching out
West/SouthWest towards Konye-Urgench, Ashgabat
There is a good hitch-hiking spot just after the bridge that crosses the railways in the NorthWest part of the city, about 30 minutes walk from Bay Bazaar.
Getting a lift to Konye Urgench is easy, but if going in the direction of Ashgabat, consider taking the direct road (the junction is a few kilometers further), as traffic South of Konye Urgench back to the main road is very scarce (see Konye-Urgench section).
