Battambang is a city in Cambodia.
Hitchhiking out
North/West towards Siem Reap
The new bus station is west outside the city on National Highway 5/ AH1 ( about 3 km from city centre). You might want to take a tukuk there. From there walk a little further down the highway out of town and you will arrive at a round about. This is a good spot to start hitching, due to traffic slowing down as well as enough space for cars to stop just after the round about. There is a lot of traffic on this route, so it should not be a problem to get a ride. Depending on the vehicles it should take around 3hours to reach Siam Reap.
