Çankırı (Turkish: Çankırı) is a city in Turkey, located in the Central Anatolia region.

Hitchhiking out

South towards Ankara, Kırıkkale

To go towards Kalecik, Akyurt, Ankara, or Kırıkkale, you need to get onto the Ankara Road. You can take local buses heading towards Küçük Sanayi or Kredi Yurtlar Kurumu, and start hitchhiking from the furthest point where the buses drop you off along the Ankara Road.

North towards Kastamonu, Istanbul

To go towards Korgun, Ilgaz, Çerkeş, Kastamonu, or Istanbul, you need to get onto Kastamonu Road. You can take local buses heading to Kırkevler, Kenbağ, or Tarım Meslek Lisesi, and start hitchhiking after you pass the Kırkevler area. However, the spot where the buses turn around at Kenbağ and Tarım Meslek Lisesi is further out of the city and more suitable for hitchhiking, so it is recommended to continue until there.

Northeast towards Yapraklı

To go towards Yapraklı, you need to get onto the Yapraklı Road. You can use local buses heading towards MKE or the Faculty of Literature and start hitchhiking from in front of the faculty.

Southwest towards Eldivan

To go towards Eldivan or Şabanözü, you need to get onto the Eldivan Road. Follow the same instructions as the south direction, and get off at the Eldivan junction in the Küçük Sanayi area to start hitchhiking from there.
